Style Developments casts and impressive net, accumulating a wide range of custom home developments defined by quality craftsmanship and a highly accommodating service experience, focusing on large-scale renovations and inner-city new builds, this dynamic team of journeymen carpenters admit, “We exceed the call of duty when it comes to our clients.” Style Developments owners, Kyle McGill and Scott Janisch agree, “We go beyond what is required to perfect their vision.”

This Lake Bonavista charmer was nearly razed to its foundation, keeping in tact the family room and dining wing, then expanding the footprint to capture 4000 square feet of Cape Cod comforts on two levels. Creating their vision with Rubix Design, the homeowners dreamed of an East Coast, seaside structure that would look at home on their desirable lakefront lot. “we wanted to combine traditional features with modern trends in a home that would accommodate our very active, bustling household”, shares the lady of the house.

Spacious, open rooms are lit by lake-facing windows that dominate the main floor common areas warmed by walnut and fir millwork with clear span engineering deleting pillars or beams for unobstructed views. A winning combination of unique kitchen finishes emboldens the visual impact of alluring, custom definition. Many imported and innovative featured assist in creating cohesion throughout the décor. “The family needed a lot of extra storage space and room for their children to play,” says Kyle McGill. To achieve that, the home and millwork incorporate a blend of durable, functional materials.

“Many of our choices were derived from our Cape Cod vision,” describes the lady of the house. The kitchen cabinet style with ornamentation and the staircase spindles and newel posts all reveal key elements of that style. “We wanted the natural elements of water and wood in our home, as it mirrors our lakefront setting, and we enjoy the down-to-earth energy and ambience it provides.”

“The clients were a pleasure to work with, and while the project posed some challenges they are happy with it and so are we, “admits McGill. “At the end of the day, what was achieved was a collective vision with enough unique features to make it fun to build.”

The homeowners tend to agree. “These are some of the easiest guys we have ever worked with. Style Developments provided us with a home we love. Now we can’t wait for summer.”
